There is NO shortage of quality stores to buy
the Philippine and American goods you want and desire to enjoy the good life
on Negros Island. Even in the mountains of the Mabinay Valley in the
middle of Negros Island between Dumaguete and Bacolod. Other great places to

Hypermart is a large discount store and
grocery store in
Dumaguete
City, about one and a half hours from Mountain Valley Village by car,
or about two hours by bus. Like Frymart, Hypermart offers fresh meats,
fresh fruits and vegetables, a large selection of grocery items, and a
wide variety of discount-priced merchandise in the Wal-Mart-style.
Hypermart has a small food court with 3 restaurants and plenty of
parking and very friendly and helpful employees. |

Super Lee Plaza is
Dumaguete City's premiere department store with four large floors
of beautiful merchandise. It is located in downtown Dumaguete. It
features a huge variety of products, a wonderful food court with many
tasty restaurants, indoor car parking, and even escalators. |
Cang's Department Store is Dumaguete's
second largest. It occupies two floors of two different large
buildings in downtown
Dumaguete. |

Robinson Mall in
Bacolod City is about a 2 to 2 1/2 hour car drive from Mountain
Valley Village. Add about one hour extra for a bus ride. It is a
first-class American-style mall with over 200 stores and restaurants
including America's Pizza Hut and Dairy Queen. |
Gaisano Mall, also in
Bacolod City, is a new mall with over 100 stores and restaurants
including the famous, American-style Bob's Restaurant, the tasty
Chinese restaurant L'Sea, and Pizza Hut [one of the best Pizza Huts in
the world for the quality of its pizza, other foods, and
service]. Gaisano Mall also features the large National Textbook Store
which is part of a national book store that sells all types of books &
magazines. |
