Diving
Apo Island is a small island just enough the coast of Negros Oriental (one
of the
20 best islands in the world for foreigner living). Apo Island is
located in clear waters that are rated as one of the best diving,
snorkeling, and scuba areas in the entire world. A small resort with
overnight accommodations is located on the island itself. In addition, there
are several good dive resorts on the coast of Negros Oriental, just a few
minutes by boat from Apo Island. The best way to get to Apo Island is to fly
to Dumaguete City, about one-half hour away from Apo Island. There are also
ferries and fast boats from Cebu City on nearby Cebu Island to Dumaguete.
