The 5th class municipality in the province of Oriental Negros is San
Jose. It
has a population of 15,665 people in 3,162 households. San Jose is a
beautiful place to visit. There are lots of beauty scenic spots in this town and
the people are very hospitable. Lots of people visit this municipality
every year just to watch the
Ayuquitan
Festival
every 7th of May. The town’s name is derived from “inukitan” or bird
pickings, recounted in colorful production numbers.
