Binalbagan is one of the 19 municipalities of
Negros Occidental, Philippines. According to the May 2000 census, it has a
population of 58, 280 people in 11, 092 households. It is located 63-66
kilometers away from Bacolod City.
The municipality of Binalbagan has a land area of
18, 540 hectares with 16 barangays. It is known of its landmarks
Binalbagan-Isabela Sugar Mill, Binadlan Falls and Omot Falls.
In commemoration to San Isidro Labrador, the town celebrates its annual feast
with Lumbayan Dance festival as highlight.
