Apo Island is located in clear waters that are rated as one of the best diving, snorkeling, and scuba areas in the entire world. A small resort with overnight accommodations is located on the island itself. In addition, there are several good dive resorts on the coast of Oriental Negros, just a few minutes by boat from Apo Island. The best way to get to Apo Island is to fly to Dumaguete City, about one-half hour away from Apo Island. There are also ferries and fast boats from Cebu City on nearby Cebu Island to Dumaguete.
